ملخص أحداث الثورة السورية الاحد، ٢٥ كانون الأوّل ٢٠١١

بدأ النظام حملة تصعيدية ضد الأكراد في الأسبوع الماضي، حيث بدأت حملات أمنيّة على المتظاهرين في مدينتي القامشلي وكوباني. وأطلقت قوات الأمن الغاز المسيل للدموع ثم تبعه حملة اعتقالات عشوائية
المجازر تستمر ورئيس بعثة مراقبي جامعة الدول العربية يصل إلى دمشق

لجامعة الدول العربية لمراقبة مدى التزام نظام الأسد ببروتوكول بعثة
المراقبين العرب. ويُذكر أنَّ الحكومة صعَّدت من المجازر التي ترتكبها في
حقّ الشعب بعد توقيع البروتوكل، حيث قتلت ما لا يقل عن 400 شخص، سقط منهم
13 اليوم في حمص ودير الزور ودرعا وحماة، مما صعّد من مناشدات الشعب السوري
لبدء مهمة المراقبين العرب فوراً في المناطق المحاصرة.ويُذكر أن النظام غيّر أسماء بعض الشوارع في المناطق المحاصرة لتضليل البعثة العربية بعد تحديد أسماء الشوارع التي سوف تزورها

وأطلقت قوات الأمن الغاز المسيل للدموع ثم تبعه حملة اعتقالات عشوائية
وهجوم للشبيحة على المنازل. ويأتي هذه بعد إعلان أحزاب كرديّة انضمامها
للثورة لإسقاط النظام
وقد ظهر من جديد على الساحة الإعلاميّة موضوع دعم أسماء الأسد لمجازر زوجها بشار الأسد. ويعتقد عدد من المراقبين أنّها بريئة
وضعيفة في وجه أعمال ومجازر زوجها، إلّا أنّ العديد من المُقرّبين من
النظام يعتقدون عكس ذلك. فحسب بعض التقارير فإنّ أسماء الأسد –خريجة جامعة
لندن والتي عملت في أكبر بنكين في العالم وهما جي بي مورغان ودويتشه بنك-
قد استخدمت في الماضي خبراتها وعلاقاتها المصرفيّة لغسيل أموال النظام
المتراكمة والموزعة في الكثير من المصارف الغربية دون لفت انتباه أحد،
وقامت بتحريكها وتنظيفها واستثمارها مع ابن عمّها وأبيها في مشاريع تدرّ
على عائلة الأسد عشرات الملايين سنويّاً. لذا فهي إحدى أركان النظام ويجب
التحقيق في أعمالها

Summary of Events
The director of the Arab League observers’ mission to Syria, Muhammad
Dabi, arrived in Damascus to gauge the regime’s adherence to the signed
protocol. The regime has intensified its crackdown against protesters
since the signing of the protocol as it killed at least 400 so far
including 13 fallen heroes today in Homs, Deir Azzour, Daraa and Hama.
Syrians have been calling for the observers’ mission to begin visiting
the besieged areas immediately. Meanwhile, the regime has already
started changing street names in the designated areas by the observers’
mission in order to refute reports of collective punishment in certain
areas.
In a
desperate bid to end all forms of opposition in Syria, the
regimerecently intensified its repression and violence against Kurdish
demonstrators. This is a departure from previous policies
appeasing to minorities. The regime launched security campaigns against
Kurdish demonstrators in the cities of Qamishli and Koubani, after
Kurdish political parties publically announced their opposition to the
regime and their demand to topple it.
Questions regarding the involvement of Asmaa Assad, Bashar’s wife, in
the Assad regime’s crimes have been circulating amongst opposition
figures. Many think that she is a helpless victim of her husband, but
sources close to the regime beg to differ. Asmaa Assad, a London
University graduate with work experience in JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank,
has allegedly been using her experience and connections to launder
money for the Assad family. Not only did she launder money, but she has
also allegedly invested the family’s billions in bonds and stocks that
yield tens of millions of dollars annually to the regime’s coffers.
Moreover, her father and cousin have been confirmed to be businessmen
who finance the regime. Therefore, an investigation should target Asmaa
Assad and her family to expose her involvement in financing the regime’s
killing machine and the purchase of additional weapons.
